Welp, I live in Seattle.

I've lived in Seattle for officially one week now and have to admit I'm sort of like a little kid in the way that I'm seeing everything for the first time. Here's some of what I've been up to...

Spotted this little beauty on the ride over.

Had a fabulous time boating on Lake Washington with my cousin and his friends. (Spotted the beauty again and had to ask local high school kids what mountain it was- oops, did I mention I'm not from the westside. Rainer by the way.)

Riding the bus! [read looking at these schedules and routes, and missing a bus, observing bus norms, tring to not look like a fool and ultimately following my classmates around. ]

Thinking about how great out apartment is.

...and about how completely rad our collection of vintage chairs is.
[note, I'm also learning and loving my new iphone]

Bought fresh flowers at the market [read fulfilling my urban dreams].

Having an identity crisis.

Getting my mail delivered to my door ...literally through my door I guess.

Loving the perks of being so close to the Burke-Gillman train, including the gallons of free blackberries in our freezer and fridge and ALL thanks to the roomie.

Also enjoying the closeness of Lake Washington.

and again. ...and the perks of having an iphone. ...and free apps. :)

Being greeted by this during orientation. Only at the Health Science Library. [eyeroll ...and a smile]

Cutting off my anklet, signaling the end of carefree summertime. Sigh.

Stay tuned... depending on how many more activities I'll be keeping myself busy with this weekend, a flashback series could be happening since there's about 10 half written posts waiting to be published.
